Yes the stock mirrors are useless and if your new ones are as good as mine you'll be very happy with them

I put the bar end mirrors on and like them. The ones I got fold up so when parked it doesn't make the bike super wide which is a nice feature. The mounting hardware is useless just like most other brands so I did the rubber stopper mount trick that sandro posted a thread about. Worked pretty good. We'll see how it holds up, it it doesn't then I'll try some other way to mount them.

One thing I need to fix is the mirror rubs the throttle and keeps it from snapping back closed on it's own. I ran out of light so will look at it another time, I believe I just need a spacer to push it further out, as the throttle tube and grip extend past the bar itself by about 1/8" or 1/4".

Photobucket is down, pics later...

Visibility is 10x better

Just around the block. Visibility is way better. I can see completely behind me and to the side with a single glance. Before with the stock mirrors I could maybe see 25% of what I can see now.

I'm still unsure of the mounting setup. I might try something else.

Here's what I did for the holes where the mirrors used to be. I think it looks pretty good. It's just some SS bolts that match the other windscreen hardware.

I got my xblights tail light today and installed it. It's amazing that even though his product has such great reviews it is even better than I expected. WELL worth the money. Even down to the packaging, I've never seen anything packaged so well lol.

I'm not even going to try with pics of the lights on since it doesn't work on camera, but it's significantly brighter than stock. I'm glad he talked me into the clear lens, too(I originally wanted smoked).

Also, I fell and busted my head last weekend (I'm sure you can guess what substance was involved...) and I got my teeth fixed today :)

I bet you didn't expect to see a pic of my teeth! Can't even tell I broke my teeth :). Seriously though I was extremely lucky I didn't break any bones, dislocate my jaw, brain damage, etc. Just can't wait until I can chew again...eating soup, beans, and mac n cheese is getting old FAST.

I need to do the flasher relay mod now...does anyone have the link for it???

I did the free mod where you pull pin 7 in the stock flasher and it worked. Was pretty easy.

Yes the tail light is Fing sweet :)

I'm going to post pics anyway even thought the light doesn't really show up.

I also replaced some hardware that was corroding on my bike today. If anyone deletes their rear turn signals and wants to plug the 4 holes left(2 on each side) the hole sizes are 5/16" and 3/16". I picked up some plastic plugs from ACE hardware and they fit perfect.

Nice! Looks real good.

The previous owner of my bike did that flasher mod. It worked fine. Until I went to put in my custom guages. Turns out the little green bulb in the factory gauges is all the resistance it needs. Without that the blinkers won't work at all. So if that bulb ever burns out..... now ya know. I was scratching my head and ass (at the same time) trying to figure it out.

The ep36 works either way.
