And I ran across a small problem. The stock reservoir is in the way a little. So far I've only mounted the pod inlets to the side panels, the pan is just taped on to see how it looks.

Here's where it's pushing the side panel out a lot, it's maybe an inch too far out. I can push it in to the back side of the pod plastic, but it's stressed pretty hard.

Any suggestions? This one will be getting a custom pipe, not one I would normally make.

I think the fiberglass warped after it was removed from the mold. If it was removed before it cured or the glass too thick in some parts causing it to warp from the heat as it cured.

Dean contact Michael Richter at EBR. I was communicating with him on the flexiglass and he was able to go out and ask the techs stuff I was asking. I bought a set of used fairings but they are the rad ram air version. Want to buy just the sides to be able to use the stock cooling system. Intested in seeing the results..
Looking good!!

Need to change the milspec 1/4 turn fasteners, the ones supplied are too short by about .015" or so. Waiting on a response via email, but it's the weekend, so I'm not expecting anything until either Monday or Tuesday.

In general, it looks like the fiberglass is a little warped. It fits, but needs pushed around some to make it look 100% right.

Had to move on to a couple of pipe builds yesterday since I'm sorta stopped on the bodywork. Might get somewhere within a week or so.

Is it just me or will you not be able to use the kick stand? I'm assuming those are race style fairings and as far as I know race bikes don't use kick stands.

He may make a cut-away for the stand, or at least it would seem that way if he would sell it for anything on the street. Seems like he is still in the fitment process of the kit. If he sells this for street use, I may have to fork over the funds! Looks great Dean!

I'm still contemplating how to do the cutout and retain the kickstand but be able to capture fluids. Might have to hunt down some I channel rubber or something to hold it in. New Milspec bolts came in today, so I will be able to move forward on it soon. I doubt I'll mess with it this weekend though.

I do know this bike will see limited street use after I'm done with it. The owner is moving to Texas next year and he's planning on turning it into a full time track bike.

maybe some adhesive rubber weather striping. You could adhere it to the inside of the belly pan just out of sight below the cut out. It would keep fluids from rollling up and out and keep it invisible from outside the pan.

Well, the milspec 1/4 turn bolt showed up, so I stuck the collector pipe on to see where it would sit. Ended up EXACTLY where I wanted it, dead center of the bodywork.
Looks like there's plenty of room in there for an RT-1, 3 and a modified 4. The RT-2 would require trimming of the fiberglass to make it work. The normal RT-4 will not work without some trimming as well. I don't have mine here to test fit it (EBR currently has both versions for tuning) so I don't know exactly how much.

I'm happy with the way it looks so far.

Then don't trim it- take the kickstand off.:p

Nothing yet, had some paying customers, they take priority over side projects. Might get some more time next weekend.

The muffler for this one is hiding behind the 3rd pipe over from the right.

Not finished with it, I think I need to move it forward about another inch or so for clearance. It will also be lifted up away from the pan a little, this pic it shows it as unsupported and just hanging there. Just my personal recommendation on this, I'd go with the RT-3 simply because it's lighter by a couple of pounds.

So on the flexi side fairings... do you need to remove the plastic leading edge lip from the stock side scoops and remount on the flexi's (or is the entire stock side scoop behind the flex's in these pics)?

edit - never mind I see it in your 1st post.[smirk]
