still i'm in the process on installing everything together but apparently. i'm too clumsy and i'm breaking sensors and making myself more work. but still cold in indiana so i got plenty of time. i hope

Mvaughn556. Nice man what all are you doing to her?

And dean did you get it all back together too? And ya id say you needed to replace that bearing haha and I do like the color it is very cool. Just not for this project.

Mostly together, but the front isolator seized and then the insert spun in the frame, so had to come back off again. What a nightmare that turned into. New isolator on the way, frame is sitting there waiting and in the way. The new color ceramic should be here by mid-week I think. Still no tracking number from them, so I'm just assuming at this point.

damn. i bet your heart stopped when you realized the thread was just spinning in your frame haha and thank you, understandable dean. i still have to drop off my rims off monday to the powder coater everything else is done but those probably won't be done till wednesday at the latest. soooo hopefully two weeks from yesterday i should have a fully functional bike again!!….come ooon riding season!

finished a valve lash adjustment, insulated inside frame, and wrapped up my headers. and some minor adjustments \. got replacement parts on order and should be here by Friday so hoping to get something done on next weekend

if i don't break anything else. I'm juggling with my work, kids and my wife, so i don't get a lot of buell time and when i do u guess i get a little too excited

Hahaha very nice man how hard was that adjustment. I'm half way to the adjustment and i dont know iv never done it before. Was it bad? And so why did you insulate the whole frame. I had a debate in my head for two days weither I should do the
whole inside or not. I redid the stock with new and put more layers on but then for the rest of the frame I decided against it. Because well one. Why didn't the factory just do it? And how much heat is the outsides of the cylinders really putting off? Most heat is the exhaust. And I hope the ceramic helps with that.

After months and months of tedious labor I have finally completed the transformation of my Lightning Long. I only with I would've taken more pics of the process because it looks nothing like a Buell anymore.

New bar end mirrors, check
New shorty levers, check
Clean up tail and paint, check
New seat, check
Re-wrap header, check
Breather mod with catch can, check
Change all fluids, check
Torque hammer exhaust, started
Tune for new exhaust,
RSS, need to order
Clean everything, will never end

I think that is it...

Yeah I wish you had taken more pics of the transformation to, there are a lot of us that would have liked to see how you converted from right hand side belt to left hand side chain! :p[up]

the rear was alittle tight as well the front were loose. Im insulating to whole inside of frame to help with the heat and eliminate gas boiling. over the summers its been pretty bad. but valve adj. was too bad just getting ready for the warmer weather.
