these things effin rock, got them on both my bikes fantastic upgrade
hey tom: quick question for ya before i pull the trigger on this....and thanks a ton for posting this up by the way......my 2009 cherry bomb cityX had pulsing lever....really annoying as hell. installed new ebc rotor and ebc pads with drain, flush, refill and bleed. still pulses but not nearly as much? does this hardware kit fix such annoyance? thanks much because i'm at a loss.

That being said I'll share my experience. I switched from a stock pulsating setup to the EBR rotor, EBC HH pads (bought from some guy that lives in amish land), and solid mount hardware. All pulsating has disappeared and not returned.

you just answered my question jesse and thanks much. what you described is precisely the ailment with my 2009. PS-beware of dealing with ANYONE from amishland. notorious crooks over there....or so i'm told.

I must have been lucky, the guy I have dealt with has been more than helpful to me!!

yes it does but I think I traced that pulse to filth built up in the springs of the stock floating mounts... this kit eliminates the springs so you never have to flush those springs out

also, the brake feel is very uniform and consistent.. makes me wish I had TL2 brakes.. I bet it would be fkkkin fantastic

I'm a HUGE fan of the EBR bolt upgrade. Improper pad bedding is mis-diagnosed about 97% of the time as a warped rotor. These things ain't cheap, so be sure to check!

hey Lunatic, you get your new mounts in yet??
yes tom...got kit tuesday eve via UPS...did install yesterday early morning. works like a charm and can't thank you enough for letting me know those kits were available again. sidenote tom and think you'll like this. i never looked at this post after my question was answered. so mid morning yesterday i pull front wheel, break open kit, little schematic and instruction sheet great, but NO mention of whether to use or discard the springs. i want to ask EBR but don't want switchboard gal and blow off. so i call a good friend of mine who is editor of one of americas' largest cycle magazines. he has direct line phone # for EBR. i call the number and guy picks up and says "EBR-dan speaking-can i help you." i said "this wouldn't happen to be danny hurda would it?" he laughed and said yes, told him who was calling, asked if he could answer simple XB platform question, how was he doing out there, etc. i mean danny is perhaps the finest motorcycle engineer in the world and he picks up the phone. had a nice brief chat and at the end i told him how much he and erik buell has meant to all of us on this board and to motorcycling in general and i wanted to tell him how much they are appreciated for all they've given us...and to pass my sentiments onto erik as well if he would be so kind. he says "he's right here john...you can tell him yourself." so the 3 of us had nice little chat for maybe 5 minutes and both said things are really going well out there and business looking very good with some real great concepts in the works. was the highlight of my month for sure. danny is far left front row in 1 pic....behind erik buell in other pic. b99690138z.1_20160317192313_000_g4meu42v.2-0.jpgebr-team.jpg

ah that's awesome man!

yeah I remembered a few months back that people were pisssed that mounts went out of stock and I noticed they reappeared. Do you remember a few years back I got into a big pisssingt match behind those mounts??.. guys saying they didn't make a difference over stock... so, can a member of your street cred back me up on how sweet these things are now??

That's cool John.

sure was neil. i mean it wasn't like danny would have known me when i called...he just picked up the private line. have read a ton about him and lots of his tech articles thru the years and he's fascinating.....and serious enthusiast. just happen-stance that "the great one" was standing right beside him when i called. we live in a country rank with criticism and hate spewing. these guys are no different than you and i and makes them feel really good when you tell them how much they are appreciated....how much their contributions mean to others.

vaguely remember that tom and can't believe there would be a pisssssing match of sorts on here. LOL.
your thoughts on it were spot-on tom. for those that are chasing that ever-lasting incredibly irritating "pulsing front brake lever" and have tried new quality pads, new rotor, cleaned springs and locating holes....and still dealing with it....the kit you suggested is the solution. also what shaughn said above very true re. this annoyance.

I THOUGHT SO!!! I did it to both my bikes... both with TL1 brakes and they both came out glass smooth... so, it wasn't my imagination.. good to know.
