Help Support Buellxb Forum:

not to start anything, but a quick search for both stock quarter-mile results (i was interested since we don't have the warrior here)

buell xb12r: 11.43 sec @ 117.5 mph
yamaha warrior: 12.71 sec @ 103.0 mph

in this case it was a stage4 warrior, so i would have to know what is done to the bike to even try and compare it to a same staged type of buell.

I know what the #'s show and I agree that it SHOULD be faster...but its not. maybe mine is not running right. I am gonna take it in for service soon and have them check it out.

the power wheelies everyone is talking about...NOt happening on this bike. :)

Oh and I was not trying to be a d!ck. :) I was simply stating...my old warrior would OWN this bike. but again...my bike now may not be running right.

I will update you all for sure if I find that its not running as it should. I wish there were more buells around here...but there just isnt. :(

And you guys were right...this bike gets TONS of attention lol. Every stoplight people are staring or asking me what it is or what year it is. lol I had a cop talk to me last night for about 30 mins about it. He really liked it at lot and had not really seen one either.

Sorry again if I came off as an a$$..not intended to be that way lol.
Dave

Oh yeah..my good friend has a VMax with exhaust and the bypass to allow the bike to make power sooner rather than after a certain rpm...I still pulled him by 2 bikes every time we ran with my old warrior. :D

Dave something is definitely wrong with your bike for sure. I more than likely just needs a full tune up and it will be great. I used some junk Champion plugs in my bike because it was all I could find at that moment and it ran like a POS. I switched over to Harley Double Platinum plugs and now it is incredible. I can hang the front end up no problem at all. Bring it up to 4k in 1st and let off the gas and then whack it again and it stands right up no problem. Not only that just going from first to 2nd and bringing the bike to 6500-7000rpm and the shift to 2nd and the front end comes right up and hangs a wheelie no problem just shifting gears. You will see when you get it tuned up. It will be a totally different bike. Once that is done you will change your mind about the Warrior being faster.

i just didn't know what a warrior was so that's why i searched for the info :p

but your stage4 will probably be outrunning alot of bikes, amongst which will probably be a buell.
and if a buell was also tuned to a stage4, without frame mods, you'll still win...cause the buell is too short and you would have more control over that kind of power.

but at the end of the straight comes a corner...and then it's a totally different story :D

It is like a Busa best straight line bike but horrible in the corners.

I love the short wheelbase of the Buell but it is definitely tough to handle under very hard acceleration as the front end keeps coming up so easily.

Don't get me wrong I love the Yamaha Warrior as I have a cruiser myself to go along with my Buell but I only have a Honda Shadow and I have it just for comfort. Once you tune up that Buell though you will be highly satisfied with your choice.

My roommate took my Bolt for a ride the other day as he has a Triumph Daytona 955. He said man your bike doesn't handle 1/2 as good as mine. I said sorry you are wrong I said this bike is made for you to actually ride it not just lean a hair a let the bike do all the work. My Gixxer would corner incredible but I like have to work the bike in the corner on the Bolt is poses a challenge and brings excitement to the ride every time.
