Hey guys, I have hawks loudest version on my xb 9 and I'd like more sound from my 12. Has anyone heard the d&d and loudest hawk side by side? I have a custom muffler that BARKS, but fueling is kind of a pain:) thanks!

Ive never heard a hawk in person, but i have a d&d on my xb12 and im very satisfied with the sound. Its pretty loud, but doesnt hurt your hears like some people have said before. When i was in the market for an exhaust I youtubed all the diff ones. I know that doesnt do them justice, but it was better than hear say. I think you'd be happy with a d&d, alot of guys on here think they are too loud. Good luck [up]

I have both, I like my d&d over the hawk because it's much louder and deeper, without any tinging sound and it gives the bike more power where I really want it and use it.

I have a D&D myself with Race Maps and an open airbox w/ K&N air filter...in this weather It my powerband at about 3700rpms and she pulls pretty good from then on. Granted If I had a proper tune for the D&D pipe it would be better...better I haven't undertaken that endeavor yet. BUT SHE SOUNDS DAMN GOOD!

D&D sounds awesome. It's pretty loud. Had it on my 9 with stock filter. First with stock map and then dyno tuned. Like someone said above it gives you most power of all in the range where you use most in everyday riding.

1" more ground clearance than stock, dual outlet, sounds as good as any out there, performance is as good or better than most. :)

That's funny you should say that. I've heard my Hawk next to a D&D and thought the opposite with regards to the tone. I thought the D&D had a bit of a higher pitch "pop" to it (well...higher than my Hawk). Then again, my Hawk has a 3.25" single outlet. That may affect the tone? I'd say the loudness is similar.

Yea my D&D and 50dro's Hawk are similar in loudness. Deff have different tones. Kind of hard to explain hah. We'll have to make a vid next year for comparison. :)

Hawk sounds hollow and poopy compared to a good exhaust. I liked how mine sounded till I got my Magnaflow

D&D here, at first I didn't like it but after a week or two I loved it. Love revving high and letting of throttle and hearing the pops :D

D&D on my XB12R (open air box mod, K&N filter) and love the sound and performance. Highly recommended.

Guys,
I have a hawk. It is his loudest version with the single exit. I was just curious if anyone has heard a d&d side by side and how it compared. In my opinion, the hawk isn't loud enough. Thanks.
