Speedo not working

Hi every one, pretty new to buells, just got an xb9s, its an 03 model and last night the speedo stopped working. Can any one point me in the right direction to fix it?

welcome! was it just the speedo or did the tach stop working as well? if it was just the speedo i might be your speed sensor. replace it and you should be fine.

Hey, the speedo and odometer stopped, the tach is working away. Im guessing the speedo and odometer are run off the same sensor? Thanks, David.

yes, The speed sensor controlls both. If the bike doesnt recognize that you are driving, it wont add the miles to the odometer. Sensors run about $60 and are fairly simple to install.
