Spinning the tire

My 9R has some old Shinko's on it and even with me (170lbs) crawling over the fairing (feels like it anyways), it'll stand up on an aggressive 1-2 shift to the point I have to let off WOT out of fear of going over...then it pops up again on the 2-3 shift.

If you're spinning the tire while sitting back...you need a new tire.

Well I think the suspension is set just right for me because I've never had any issues in the twisties with shake or slide and don't want to mess with the suspension just to be like every kid on the road these days thinking they're a stunt rider.
Proper suspension setup for rider weight is not being a stunt rider, it's being safe.

I did get it to clutch up a few times today. Probably just bad roads.
I thought you're not trying to be a stunt rider?

I run 36 cold front and rear because any thing over or below I can tell a difference while cornering hard.
I've had my tires increase as much as 15psi from cold to warm. I keep all my tires at 20-25psi cold so they're at 30-35psi by the time I get to the fun roads. If the days are warmer, I stop and check tire pressure a couple times.

...only got about 3k out of my last tire from spinning it so much on hard throttle take offs. the metz handle really well so far.
If they're spinning when you get on the throttle hard...they're NOT handling well.

I'm going to right it off as the roads. I went out today on newer paved roads and it kept coming up on hard low gear shifts. Not wanting to be a stunt rider. Doing wheelies every once in awhile doesn't mean you are wanting to be stunt boy racer. My definition of wheelies I like are hard shift pop ups or low gear roll on. Not the type to like to ride wheelies long distances etc.

I'm sure it'll do better after I get it tuned this year. Burns pretty rich on lower Rpms. Running custom open headers with torque cones. It used to be unresponsive down low and would hesitate before I took the muffler off. Made a world of difference on the throttle response but still is burning rich. Most of the time I'm not leaning back and pulling back. The whole topic of the post was kinda wondering why it doesn't wheelie real easy like I've always heard. Do I really want it to wheelie like crazy? No. Was just a wondering type question. The tire spins I can almost write off as bad roads around here after thinking more about it.
