WWWAAAAHHHOOOOO!!!! Yesterday crusing southbound on 75 after Picking up my Uly from Harley Allen.
The culprit was a cracked ECM at the connector, I relocated it but it was already cracked.
When first stopping at a light, and parking the bike at work, I did not hear the fan? So I called the shop and they said the fan has been reprogrammed and does different things at different temps and uses the speed sensor now. Seems weird since it was simple before, bike gets hot fan turns on, bike cools then fan turns off. Now it is like doing a lot of stuff: On, off, stay off, on, off, on, stay on. Is speed needed for fan control? I guess it puts less strain on the charging system, at low speed or stopped the fan turns off and there is no power drain. Sure this is probably not the reason, but why would it be changed to operate this way?
The bike is running awesome though, the best since I have owned it.
