HE WAS ON A TRACK!!!! This is getting annoying! I ride wheelies on the track cause its legal and its better than the road. BTW DRIFTING IS NOT BAD!!!! Professionals do it %50 percent of the corners.
Now everyone shut up and stop with the annoying opinions. Sounds like a fricken cruiser forum.

Are we all not squids at one point on our path to becoming an educated and responsible rider? ( what a Halmark line :p) I did my time in the racing circut,these guys are doing what they love in the right place,on the track.Sure maybe a little flamboyant,but he seems to have the skill to pass the others at will and you know for damn sure that his buddy with the camcorder is well aware of what is going on.To me,stunters are a problem as far as safety of others goes,a guy on the track if he goes down is not going to take out a family in a car on the freeway,better chance of a stunter doing that.As far as the ******* on the buells,just plain stupid! I didn't know squid ment a very skilled rider who has no problem drifting or backing a bike into a turn.I wish I was a squid.
 
I think of squid as
squirrely kid
somebody who rides in a erratic or unpredictable manner, often pushing beyond their own limits.

unpredictable, locking up the rear tire to pitch the bike sideways on a straight nearly taking out the camera guy 0:32 and again at 1:53

yea he can drift and that's not easy on a bike but why don't you practice in an empty parking lot like the stunters do?
how do you know if he is going to race the corner or just try and roach his tire bucking the bike around erratically?

MotoGP riders do this all the time, it allows for later braking, while getting them into the right gear and nets them better turn in and a faster corner speed. The way I saw it, they were both in full control and the guy was definitely a way better rider than I am.

Squids are people doing dumb crap on a bike, like wearing flip flops and doing wheelies while wearing a ball cap and a wife beater.

Anyone on a track, in full gear, and in control is ok in my book.

Not at the tracks I been too either. I've never done a Bike track day, but I have several times with my car (Rx-7) and a few times the day's were mixed with bikes and we were instructed to NOT do wheelies or any other wreckless "squidly" behavior or we would be thrown off the track and not welcomed back. Power wheelies were ok though. This was at VIR a few years back.

That is ABSOLUTELY track sqiud. That is not track behavior or even close, that type of video should be done while track is empty not around other riders. When there are drifts on motogp or similar track style racing it is because they are carrying so much speed into corners not because they are making the bike do it. My .02
 
You guys are bansies, ill find the video of me riding a wheelie on the highway so you have something to judge. You have all gone without riding for too long.

here my point that he sucks i was taught smooth in smooth out.

dude is bouncing every where. the guy with the skill here is the cameraman.

read the heading on the vid.hes not looking for the best line hes freaking around for the camera.i havent been on a track in years. but the way hes playing around isnt really out of place.i rode seca on a weekly basis and the ones of us that new the track rode very agressive.usally the ones who complained were the squids that showed up once a year and realized how bad they were.riding wheelies really not allowed on most tracks carring the front out of a turn no big deal.the real danger is the idiot on the blue bike going into the turn no lean doing 40 mph.they need to have a squid track day for all the whiners and then days for that guy and people that can ride.
 
^^^Welp Ive never heard of a track day that this type of riding was permitted at the guy doing 40 around the turn was def a noob that still doesnt make it ok for the donk track squid to ride like that. Alot of people have being a good rider confused with how fast they can twist the throttle and see if they can not wreck.
 
I'm not saying that he isnt a sick rider but he def isnt a good track rider put him up against a person that takes the correct entry of the turn hits the apex and accelerates out will have the faster lap times 10 out of 10 times.
 
really,i dout that he cared about taking the right line.that was all for the camera read the title of the vid heeee waaaas shoooowing ooofff.i really dought he rides like that when hes worried about lap times.
