why did it wear through two fuel lines and a fuel pump?

Right now all I have are an 07 Uly swing arm and the longer belt to be bolted onto a primarily stock 09 xb9sx. Will I need anything else to complete the swap?

Also has anyone looked into fashioning a bracket at the point where the shock meets the frame? Seems just as doable but hidden from view.

squidbuellie great informative thread you have created here. [up]

I also put an SS swing arm on my R/S frame. I used the R/S shock but had a aluminum extension added to the bottom of the shock to maintain the stock Firebolt height.
Extension at the top of the picture:

RJ, a closer look at that extension bracket would be great! I like that idea so if I ever wanted to sell the SS swing arm, I could sell it to either SS riders and the bracket separately or as a package for someone wanting to convert theirs. Keeps a wider market available. [up]

I'll check your build thread for more pics. Couldn't remember if you posted any there?

Anyone ride without a swing arm extension and if so, any issues? I'm interested in the low rider look, but I'm unsure if it will create any problems like damaged oil lines etc.. [confused]

This is xtremelows bike with no bracket you can see that it attaches straight to the swingarm. I think he is running the white or black stt/ss/uly size rear shock, and he has the scg forks slipped up in the triple tree.

The first of xtermelows bike the one that I posted is without any bracket........

Good info... Also here are pics of the two different swingarms. Notice the shock attach lug is located further aft on the "SS" swingarm top deck.

I was looking on ebay for carbon fiber frame guards. I was wanting to see if they would fit on a Ss. They say short but the frame look the same from the side.
