SS seat swap

I have an 09 SS with the " low" seat and find it uncomforatable. Mush , a fellow Bueller on here has an 07 SS with the std "tall" seat that he finds uncomforatable. We worked out a seat trade and I discovered that all The SS seats are not the same length. Mine is 09 part # N0025.4ANYW (GSK) and fits tightly against the airbox on my Ss and my 08 TT , his 07 part # N0025.1ANFYW (GSK) has about a 3/4 inch gap at the airbox and 1/2 inch gap on the tail piece. I tried his seat on both my bikes and had the same results on both, so just a heads up, all SS seats are not the same . [confused]

Wow, that's very odd...and his fit snugly on his Ss with no gaps?

I've been trying to find his post with his bike pics but can't find it. I don't know how it fit on his but when his seat was on both my bikes you could stick your fingers between the bottom of the airbox and top of the seat and feel under the seat and stick your pinky under the seat at the tail piece. Very strange. On both my bikes my seats fit very snug.[confused].

I wish i could post pics, but i use an ipad and can't !!!!!!

Here is the post with pics of his seat. Looking closely it looks like there are some small gaps at the front and rear on his as well...wonder if that's just how they fit on the older bikes? Biggest thing, is it secure?

Miami------ the pic where he's pointing at the tear , on my bikes that gap is bigger and you can see the screw holding on the airbox. It's secure but the asthetics of it are way off and i'm REAL anal about that stuff .

Strange...if you're under warranty still maybe you can take it in and tell them your seat shrunk and you want a new one?
