i have a 2005 xb12s, 10k and runs like a dream. for the last 18 months its always been a very slow turner to start but always starts 1st time. recently its been clicking on the relay before gettin her to turn over, but now it wont even turn, as though the starter motoer has seized? i can bump it just in 3rd but cant take it anywhere in case it wont start, very embarassing on a buell
how could i check this and if it needs replacing, which starter motor would fit, and is it a big job to swop motors?
sorry , forget to mention. put a new battery on summer last year, and hav it constantly on trickle charge with an optimizer.
any help or advice would greatly be appreciated as summers coming!!!!!!
