I've found a 1125cr with 25k miles at a dealership. What would the chances be that the stator has either been a good one, or has already been replaced? Probably no way of knowing without taking off the cover correct?
If any of you were going to make an offer on it, would you take a bad stator into account without documentation proving otherwise? Thanks.

what year model? I think the 09's were the only ones to notoriously fail but I could be wrong.

Not to dampen your spirits but I doubt anyone on here is looking to trade their buell for a couch. NOW - don't get me wrong, Vics are awesome bikes. My dad rides an 02 V92C. He and his buddy both got theirs brand new. My dads has over 60k on the clock - zero issues. His buddies bike has over 90k - again, zero issues whatsoever. When its time for me to look at cruisers (waaaaay down the road) I'll probably get a Victory myself.

Yes, it's an '09 model.
I know it's a long shot someone here wants my Vic, but ya never know! Maybe their dad or uncle will want it? It's a nice bike... for a cruiser.

If it's got 25k more then likely if it's the original stator you should be in the clear. If it's been replaced you will just have to hope it was replaced with updated parts. Usually they go under 10k if I'm not mistaken. If it's a CR is will fall into the years since they were only made in 09-10. The only 1125 in 08 that didn't have the stator issue was the R. If it's a good price I'd get it and just prepare for the stator issue and if it doesn't hit in the next 5-6000 miles you should be good.

Their asking price is quite a bit higher than I'm seeing guys ask for them on here. And the bikes on here have WAY fewer miles.
2 problems: I have to sell my bike first, and the dealership is 3 hours away. It's not like I can just drive across town and pop in to look at it.
I'm tempted to ride the Vic up there on Saturday to see if they'll do a straight trade.
