Has anyone attempt to mod the stator rotor, like hildstrom done himself. EBR has been out of stock for months and twin motorcycles is alittle more $. Im curious on the results......

I know this doesn't directly answer your question but we're looking to start offering the Twin Motorcycles rebuild kit. We'll do what we can to make it price competitive. Does (did) EBR offer it as a whole kit or just the rotor? They only have the rotor listed on their site from what I can see.

Through 5-0dro, it should be right around the $800 mark for this kit. It includes everything you'll need such as the removal/installation tool, stator nut, threadlocker etc.

I'll update you all once the pricing is finalized and it's on our site for sale. Let us know if you want to order it sooner.

800 bucks and I have to send them my core first.....so first I get raped on price then I get to enjoy my cr in pieces for a couple months......really?

I bought the EBR rotor and the stator was sent to Rick's Motorsport Electric's. I bought a new voltage regulator from www. americansportbike.com. I REALLY didn't look at what everything has cost me and bike is at mechanic's shop waiting to get stator back with 're-wind job'. Im not sure what the ENTIRE job will cost AND I just charge it on the Credit Card and I can cry later when the bill comes in[sad].

Yes really. I know it's not what anyone wants to hear but it is what it is and appears to be more than what HD is offering. What would be the "non-raped" offering you would expect? I can't speak for the manufacturing costs of these as they're not a 5-0dro product but I imagine that it's high based on what the products are. If TM (or others) had to stock-pile parts to be rebuilt I'd expect the price to go up not down.

The whole stator situation is an uncomfortable one that has people spending as much as 1/4 of their bike's value on a part so I can see your frustration but there's no need to blast those who are trying to pick up the pieces that HD left for the Buell owner and keep you guys on the road...my 2 cents.

EBR rotor $425 (minus core $250, I think)
Rick's Re-Wire $165
Rotor Nut $18
Rotor Tool $65
Stator cover gasket $14
Voltage Regulator $135
Shop Labor $???
Bike out of service (Minimum of 3 weeks/ Rick's re-wire is 7-10 working days turnaround time)
Not sure what else I can tell you.
I know the stator assy from HD/Buell is around $700-$800 just for the stator.

I made a mistake on last post. (Im sooo sorry!!)
The 2009 Buell 1125CR Stator Assy part#Y0442.2AF was $689.84. I said it was $700-$800. {I just found my notes from calling HD a few weeks ago}

Ok so you have to send your cores to twin motorcycle first....so what's the purpose of the crankshaft lock tool??? That might be a help First.

We'll be set up to ship you the tool within a few days of placing the order then the remainder of the kit afterwards.

Whats up guys. Ive never posted on here but love all the helpful info everyone gives. Huge amount of help.
any way just wanted to let people know they have 1125 rotor upgrades in again at ebr.[up]

What's the turn around time for getting part to and from?

Sorry...I missed your comment the other day. TM estimates the total time to be around 6 weeks (including shipping & a quick turnaround from each customer). Transit time from TM to us has been right around a week so that's not bad considering.

My turn around for stator with Rick's Electric was 7-10 days. I was told on monday my stator was complete and should have it back by thursday or friday AND mechanic should have bike back together by Tuesday or wednesday of next week. I will try and take pics and post them.

Yeah...Definitely helps being in the same country. ;) Looks like TM's turnaround is similar once they have the parts in hand and the rest of the time (3+ weeks) is in international shipping + dis-assembly. Let us know how the new stator works for you.

Soooo I paid 220 for a used stator and rotor off an 08 1125r for my 09 1125cr. Did I do good? Because isn't the 08 a perminate fix?

Not bad. Nothing is permanent, except bad memories and 'herpes' and I think they got a cure now :p. Actually, I heard the absolute BEST setup was the EBR rotor mod, the 240 degree re-wind wire from Rick's Electric, AND the MOSFET voltage regulator that www.roadstercycles.com puts out, BUT I didn't get the MOSFET VR because I really wanted to try and stay with as much Buell/EBR parts to try and keep the bike honestly PURE. (to a point).
