Steelers Got Tbowed

I've grown up a steelers fan but I like tebow.

I didn't really think much of him till a few years ago. I have a buddy at my church who was born with hurlers syndrome. AFAIK, he's lived longer than anyone else with his condition.

On his 16th bday, he got a call from tebow. I thought that was pretty cool.

A lot of people trash tebow cuz he shares his faith "too much". In my experience, these are the same people that don't have enough courage to share their faith. They're too worried about what other people think....

That's a pretty big assumption. A lot of people just take offense to a large segment of society that continually feels the need to tell the rest of society that they will burn in a hell they don't necessarily even believe in for eternity because they don't believe in the same god, you know, the god who apparently considers football a top priority.

I've never heard him tell anyone that they will burn in hell haha. That would be a bit harsh. No, he appears to be the correct kind of christian who does good things and leads by example and praises God for everything good that he has, not the kind that runs around telling everyone that God hates them and they will burn in hell. That isn't how Christ acted, so that isn't how Christians should act. I'm not telling anyone what to believe or anything. I'm just explaining my view on that particular religion. And I'm not saying I know Tebow enough personally to tell you what he would and wouldn't do, just that he appears to act a certain way. He's certainly on TV enough to make a crude assessment.

I don't follow football, so I really don't know much about the guy at all, so I wasn't trying to make any assumptions on what he would do or say. I wasn't even saying that all christians walk around spitefully daydreaming about everyone being tortured for eternity.

I think I was just off-put by the previous posters comment that anyone who gets tired of hearing about god on a regular basis must be ashamed of their own beliefs. It's easy to make that assumption when you're part of the dominant religion in this country. Pretty sure if he was some other religion(Muslim for example) and was vocal about it the entire country would explode when he took a knee on the football field in front of their children. It's a touchy subject, and I don't really know how to approach it honestly without taking the risk of offending someone's beliefs, so I'm gonna stick to motorcycle topics.

I never said "everyone". I was only targeting christian people i know who trash tebow for that reason. I never intended to make vast generalizations. Sorry if I came across that way.

And for the record (and I do intend to make a vast generalization) most christians do not agree with the attitudes of the westboro baptist crazies.

There's a big difference in sharing your beliefs with others and hating others because they share a different belief system.

I agree here, they are just as extreme as some of those that follow Islam. Well, they haven't blown anything up yet as far as I know but you get where I'm going.
