At the point of taking it to a stealership to have it fixed. I get it to crank, there is spark and fuel, and the cams are in right.

In ECMspy, the cps always stays at 5, should it shift even on the 08+ models? Let me know what yu guys think, as im completely out of ideas on how to get this bike running, and im running out of time and patience....

I just replaced my spark plug wires and resolved a shit load of issues I was and thought I was having. Even took it to the "stealership"...no clue.. and then bought ECMspy. But it was the wires' connection to the coil that was faulty.

Try doing a log and looking at the IAT sensor. I was chasing a problem for 2 months like yours. I went through a VR, plugs, coil, wires, TPS...nothing worked. Ran a log and the %&$$#% IAT would drop out periodically with no faults. Worth a shot. It is the same as a F-150 with the early 4.6L (1996 I believe).

compression and leakdown (its a fresh rebuild with big bore kit) and yes, i did a tps reset.

I will give the IAT a shot and see what happens. how much it run you?

jammer: think about it for a moment: if your motor has compression, spark, and fuel it will run. you have all 3 as you stated. what seems logical is that you don't have spark at the precise correct time. the delivery of your spark is either dropping out before TDC or the timing is so far off the plugs are firing way before or after TDC compression. figure out what's going on with your spark timing and it will run.

Yeah, thats what me and kona came up with last night. We are quite sure i fried my ECU, so im on the hunt for a new one....

i doubt the ecm is "fried" if youv messed with the tuning that could be mor of an issue? im not familiar yet with ecmspy tables what kinda changes have been made for ignition timing, if any? if none id suspect mechanical, like inside the crank. possible to miss-position the crank pickup?

looks like some drilling of the crank case is required to check ignition timing according to the manual. does this apply to the 08s ^? timing can be adjusted might wanna check that

Well, new ECM, tried to stumble to life, now nothing. So either the ECM is not getting a timing pulse, or i have a wiring isuue. those are the only things i can think of as just about everything else is brand new!

Well, an update, I took it to a shop and we had a few specialty buell techs come to the shop. We believe the timing is not off, but that the pistons that came in the kit were in fact the wrong ones. We are waiting to hear back from the manufacturer tomorrow and confirm that.

In the mean time, I have to have both heads looked at as there was piston to valve contact on both....

If it is the pistons, then we will have new ones by thursday, and hopfully have it running saturday or even friday night.

Oh, and i had yet another bent pushrod because of it....

but that the pistons that came in the kit were in fact the wrong ones.

geez. would have helped those of us who were attempting to keyboard trouble-shoot this if you would have mentioned that the motor was just "rebuilt".

Sorry, thought I did, I have quite a few recent posts with my rebuild and lots of other things that I am doing. On my other threads I had been linking to one another.

Well, We talked to revolution performance and everything with the big bore kit checks out as far as reliefs and deck height. So the bent pushrods and piston to valve contact is not due to that. we are going to pull the feuling lifters and springs now and see if that makes a difference. Ordered new gaskets as well and am gonig to install the other set of stock pushrods to replace the ones that just bent in the rear cyl....

More to follow, and hopefully fixed by friday....
