Stock Radiator Shrouds

So, my CR may or may not have tipped over. Looking around, I can't find the stock outer radiator shrouds (UN-rashed)for the life of me. All I'm finding is aftermarket versions and eBay ones that are in very poor shape. Does anyone else seem to have this problem? The scratches can probably be repaired/buffed, but this kinda makes me want to keep searching for a pair for the day they're no longer available at all.

My local HD dealer also stated they can still order them last summer. They were about $70 ea. also I have a friend that is a primo body guy. I had some rash on mine, and pretty much figured that there was nothing that could be done. He said no problem, a little wet sanding. I should be getting the pieces back this week sometime, and they'll be covered with some invisible bra type material with some new logos underneath. I'll tell you how they come out, but if anyone can do it, it is this guy. I kinda wish I woulda done a before and after now, but I never thought about it at the time.

i read an interesting post from a guy that does his colored abs plastics for his quads & dirtbikes. basically wet-sanding, then going over the surface with a propane tank & a flame-spreader to glass the surface over and restore anew.

Sure nuff. Doesn't seem to be to bad of a price either for brand. I'm intrigued by the propane idea.
