My LED turn signals just arrived (in the nick of time, we got hit with a blizzard in MD). So I have plenty of time to figure out how to install but thought it would be helpful having the laptop next to me and you guys' and ladies' expertise.

Here's the question.
How do I switch out my stock turn signals for the LEDs I bought?

Wire them in........ Edit(The black wire will usually be the negative and the other most likely red wire will be the postive lead.)

If you wire all four you will just get a fast flash for the turn signals otherwise if you prefer you can get a different flasher relay to slow the blinks.

If you only wire up 2 lights and leave nothing say in the rear it will just buzz and the lights wont flash they will just stay on when the blinker is activated.

Wire them in........ LED wires can go either way since they just flow the power through them no need for a + or - sides

Yes they are directional. If you plug in the + to -, they wont work.

My bad I was thinking about the resistors that are wired into a single LED. [down] to me [sad]

So working on a step by step guide for the Stock to LED switch out. So far only problem is the wires male to female + - on the signal are too small for the male female + - on the bike. But I'm brainstorming now.

The flasher rate was fine when I held everything in same rate.

You might need to cut the ends off and hard wire them together or what I did was cut off the ends of the stock lights and wired them to the LEDs then you can just plug'n play.

Connectors are cheap. I made jumpers from the wires on the stock signals so that I didn't have to alter the wiring harness.

Here we go with the removal and installation of the front turn signals and LEDs.

What you'll need:
WD 40
phillips head screw driver
14mm socket wrench

Step 1.
Remove the lense by unscrewing the phillips screw from the back of the turn signal.

Step 2.
Disconnect the wires (blue and black) from the bulb.

Step 3.
Pull the wire harness out and disconnect the wires that were connected to the bulb.

Step 4.
Use the WD 40 to soak the lock nut and nut then use the 14mm socket wrench the gently take off the stem from the fairing. (All finese no force)

Step 5.
Thread the new wire of the LED through and replace lock nut and nut.

Step 6.
Connect LED male +- plugs to Buell female +- plugs.

rmjr55, Now that you finished that, you can start shoveling that 20 inches of snow from your driveway:p.

My son's been keeping up with ours all day (I'm at work), but my wife says he's loosing the battle. This is nuts!

@ Old I did that this morning thinking me and my wife who got stranded at my mom's house in Temple Hills would make it out not happening try again Sunday.

In the mean time this is the progress on the rear. Much more difficult.

Here's the problem saw a few suggestions thanks guys. Hoping I can just cut the piece off and slide it over the smaller one.

Should be able to buy a couple of female connectors at Radio Shack and crimp them on in place of one of the male sets.
