Went through 6 rears and 4 fronts in 10,000 miles last summer, only cost me 250.00.

damn.. [confused] I never even thought of take offs. If you think about it, for roughly $250 every 8k miles (give or take) compared to $250 for a new set of good tires, that depending on your riding might last you 5k miles... You'd save a lot of cash with takeoffs. But at the same time you'd be sacrificing in other areas although Im sure there are some people that would rather pay the extra cash just for the peace of mind that comes with a new set of tires as opposed to take offs.

Good news [up] Bought the 2ct's for $220 they'll be here in a few days. Im anxious to get them on so I can actually ride without fear of my tires exploding lol

The 250.00 also included mount/balance. I would love to be able to afford new tires but thats not happening anytime soon. You should love your 2ct's, Michelins are my favorite tire.

The only trade off I've noticed with take-offs is the warm up time, solved that problem by playing around with my air pressure. I'd rather run a Michelin/Pirelli take-off vs.a Shinko or any other really cheap tie.

if its a true track compound tire they are not designed for multiple heat cycles and the traction degrades with each one. there are plenty of internet articles about why you shouldnt run track take offs

I don't know where you can find them, but I've been running Pirelli Scorpion Sync on mine for the last 2 tire changes. Pretty happy with the results.
