stumble at 2500-3000 rpm all gears 2008 xb12r

I have a 2008 xb12r that is having some issues. I recently removed and fixed rear cylindar spark plug hole from a cross thread error. Everything ran fine for 500 miles until I put on the ohlins steering damper from ebr. Since then I have been getting a stumble at the 2500-3000 rpm range in any gear, mainly when sustained time in that range. I chansged the plugs and voltage regulator still have the issue. Check engine light flashes some times when accelerating at higher speeds. I'm thinking something to do with the ignition system. Maybe a pinched wire from the damper rubbing on the harness. I'm going to start digging in it tomorrow. Has anyone had exp with issues like this? The ignition cables to spark plugs are new upgraded wires also.

The flash of the engine light seems like it would be in line with a missfire possibly. I'm at a loss right now

have you checked the plug wires connection to the coil? just found the one on the front of mine wasn't connected properly and was have what seemed to be a misfire between 4000-4400 rpm range @ 75-80 mph. didn't have my laptop or ecmspy cable to see if any codes were active, and unsure if that was the issue or not. will have to check on that tomorrow before moving forward with anything else.

Simple things first; are your battery terminals tight & clean?

Battery is good. Clean tight holding charge with a good load reading

Checked plug wires. They're good. Checking full ignition system this week. Gonna trace all the wires

Solved. Loose ground wire and another wire in front harness had been rubbed and grounded. All seems well now
