Subframe Threaded Inserts Spinning

I got this bike used, and while I'm going through it I noticed the seat bolt on the left side was missing an insert. As I was taking the tail section off the front mount on the left side was free spinning. I had to cut the bolt off with a sawzall. Anybody else encounter this issue?

Yup. I bought and installed new riv-nuts. I still have a few, if you want I can mail you a couple.

Thanks, I appreciate the offer, but I think I'm going to insert a threaded rod, drill a hole in the side and use a hitch pin and washer.

That's probably the better way to go, pulling a couple of pins and removing the seat is much more convenient that the torx bolts.

There is a really clean kit for those bikes that does exactly that. Stainless, with capturing cables so you don't lose the clips.

ASB used to sell them. I believe it's a 1/4-20 thread so the pin should be super easy to find at any good hardware store.

I literally Googled "Buell seat pins" and the second result was this:
