My '06 Ulysses purchased pre-owned didn't come with a tool kit. My idea is to put one together and came up with this idea. I'll buy this set http://www.harborfreight.com/folding-star-bit-saemetric-hex-keys-set-of-three-60822.html from Harbor Freight and disassemble them to put everything I need into one set. My bike has T27 Torx obviously, but what other sizes of Torx are used on the Buell? How about the Allen heads? I guess I could just buy them, try every accessible fastener and go for it. I'll mark them somehow to identify what goes where.

Next question, what size is the spark plug socket? Does anyone have a suggestion for an aftermarket one that works good for the Uly?

Spark plugs are 5/8. I would say your only real problem puting togeather a tool kit is the rear shock preload adjuster. When i bought mine it was also missing the tool kit. I found a replacement at buellsterparts

I work in an engineering department and can tell you, we've purchased a couple sets of those tools and they are garbage. They don't lock into place and they fall apart within the first few uses. On top of that they're really bulky if you have to get into any deep area. I'd look for almost any other brand. It's a great idea but I'd find another set to get the job done.

Something to keep in mind is that our XBs v-v-v-i-b-b-b-r-a-a-t-e. In my experience, multi tools disintegrate when stashed under the seat. Consider starting with all-metal donor tools, & using loctite when assembling your 'super tool'!
