Royal Purple sucks! I put it in my f150 because it was supposed to so much better than conventional oils. Well it caused my valve seas to leak and dry up, it caused my spark plugs t accumulate about 1/4inches of ash on each spark plug( 8 total). I went back to Ams oil and it resealed it all and no more ash deposits!!! So Ams oil is all I run now in all of my vehicles including my Buell XB12SS primary and engine.

All buyers beware Royal Poople can cause serious problems!! They are not considered a big oil company so they do not have to stick to the same guidelines as the rest of the companies!! Rogue Oil!!!!!!!

What are people using for oil filters? I was told fram doesn't hold up and in no time it's pumping unfiltered oil to your engine. Everyone I've talked to have all different opinions of coarse. Thanks for any input. I was going to switch from ams oil to royal purple max cycle but after reading this post think I'll stay with ams oil!

I'm using the mobile 1 filter seems to be doing fine so far but I'm not my engine so until it breaks I will assume its working fine [confused]

wow lots of royal purp hate here. i cant say i have seen so many dislikes towards the stuff in one spot before. makes me rethink running it in my bike. got 5k on the clock with it so far and its great. bike ran noticeably cooler after the switch from conventional oil. maybe a switch to cheaper Mobil 1 may be in order for the next oil change [confused]

We're in the same boat, swapping out RP for Mobil 1 hopefully this week.

No, not switching because there's something wrong, just want to try it out since it's cheaper and more available. I'm anxious to try it as I use Mobil 1 Full Syn. in all my cages anyways.
