This is my first post. Hopefully I can get results. I bought this bike used with both front turn signals missing. The issue first occured when I turned the right blinked on which caused the fuse to blow. So I did some troubleshooting on my own and the two pins inside the right front turn signal were touching. I corrected it, now everything works fine.....except the tail light. Turn signals and brake light work fine. No fuses are blown. I followed the tail light wire as far back as the seat but now issues. I'm not sure where the wire leads under the cluster. Any suggestions?

I guess I could have mentioned it isn't the bulb. Lol. But thanks for the response. I'm very mechanically inclined but this has me stumped. I've been trying to figure it out for over a month now. It worked fine until the fuse blew.

O/W, R/Y, and BLK wires in the tail light...R/Y tail light to brake switch, O/W tail light to flasher, BLK tail light ground.
maybe bad flasher or brake switch? check brake line switch connector next to the battery on the positive side, possible corrosion, loose wire, or not connected properly.

do you have a manual, if you do...go to Appendix B, Lighting Circuit. the R/Y wire also ties into the right hand controls...brake switch also goes between both left and right controls, ties into the fuse block for Brake/Horn fuse.

this is what the diagram for my '03 Lightning reads

Thanks for the info. I will check it out when I have some daylight. Do you think the wiring would be similar for an '09 firebolt?
