With no passenger i do slide back on the seat. I put the stt seat on to give myself more space. I do find that sometimes i tend to slide forward against the air box then my knees are hitting the bump out in the frame/tank

Speedo if you really want room then just get uly peg mounts, just did them and now its like riding a big cruiser.

To me the STT is uglier then the Ulysse. On paper the Ulysse should be the one, but visually it just doesn't do it for me...I could get a Ulysse with full luggage kit and heated grips for 3000$ less then a XB12SS....but...

I'm 6'2"--170 with 34" inseam. I started out looking for an SS, tried a City and found I fit. This led me to consider any XBs. Picked up an '03 that was well sorted out. My knees were bent more than I was hoping for but it never gave me a problem--I think I tend to ride with the balls of my feet on the pegs. Later, to my surprise, someone on here pointed out I had a Low/SCG model. It turns out the PO converted it with lower forks and shock, scooped seat, etc. So, I went from looking for a 12SS to being happy with a Lightning Low. No touring but some long days (200+) on the twisties--no problem.
