... me, I think.

I have had 5 flat tires in the 1.5 years that I have been riding my XB12XT. That's right, five. All replaced on the HD tire and wheel plan, free of charge. Thank goodness. Shit, I just had the rear replaced for a slow leak not a month ago. I've moved to a different house (three flats while living there, two here), swept the garage, maintained tire pressure, everything I can think of. I must admit, I might be going crazy!

Can anybody beat 5 flats in a year and a half? Is this normal or reasonable?

So when you take the bike in to fix the flats do they not tell you why it was loosing air? What type of riding do you do?

I have had..... Drum roll......... Zero

^^^I know, right? Seems ridiculous to me.

Two screws, a slow leak, a nail, last one was a slow leak. They didn't elaborate, as I recall, on the slow leaks.

I do a lot of commuting (30miles daily), running errands, picking up my GF from work (15 mi. daily).

Additional weekend twisties, although this fall/winter I haven't been hitting them as much because of a fractured pelvis, then brain surgery in December - plus being super busy. The occasional (twice-yearly) longish road trip (Portland to Montana, San Francisco), and that's about it. I do some dirt roads, exploring, etc, but not this fall or winter.

Any of that sound suspect? Or do Portland's roads suck? Portlanders, chime in here please. (I know you exist...)

ive only had one in the year ive had my buell so you should get a medal or something along those lines. keep your spirits up i know i would go f-in crazy if i had that many flats [up]

I was going to say carry a spare but with out the tools you would look something like this guy :D

Get a plug kit, I bought one off the net for like $30 fits in the tail and if I get a hole, screw, nail, etc. it has all the stuff to patch it up to make it to a shop for the fix.

Oh and the sad sad man :p

Holy crap thats a lot [mad]

If you aren't the poster child for slime i don't know who would be.

1 for me road off three tires in 10k miles.
The one was during a dyno pull so it was extra scarry whatching it go flat at 140 somthing.

I wish I would have had the HD tire warranty! Ive gotten a nail, staple, or screw in 4 or 5 of my back tires in a 2 year period. I only replaced one due to getting punctured, the rest were repairable or slow leaks.

I have had 1 in 3 years... and I am fairly certain it was foul play. I had my bike parked at school, it was fine on the way there. 2 hours later when I left, it was fully flat. I dont know, maybe I pissed someone off, maybe someone else with a firebolt pissed someone off and they thought mine was theirs... I've never had a flat otherwise though.
