I was out training on Graf last April and I kept seeing a Hero blue 12s parked outside of one of the infantry barracks. A member of the forum?

I have met one guy here so far that rides a XB12R and that was the driving instructor on Vilseck. But then again its so cold here right now that no one is riding. I'll keep an eye out once it starts getting warmer.:D

So jealous man. Have a blast and like wildman said travel as much as you can. There is so many places to see and go to. Wish I could have had a bike over there. Have fun;)

There are a few must rides - get down to northren italy and ride the Stelvio pass, only ~4 hrs for you, (10 for me from Naples).

Naples? I'd never ride my bike there, with all the things I've heard about Naples :D

Germany has some of the best roads in the world (if not the best, smooth as silk and great tarmac, grip!), especially some mountain passes. The problem is the weather, it's probably too cold and icy for proper riding right now.

The theoretical speed limit on the Autobahn is 250 km/h, but you can actually go fater. But for me that's not very exciting. There are speed limits in local roads, and quite strict through villages etc, but not as strict and not as many cops as in the US.

You also get 100 octane fuel everywhere in Europe, so you'll see your bike perform much better.

And like other people said here, it's a short distance from northern Italy and southern France, great places for riding both of them!

Yes, right now the morning temperatures are around -5F. My TDi Jetta hardly starts in the morning so no riding for a few months.
Just got a house so I will be starting to prep it for Spring/Summer in the next few months.
The recommended speed on the Autobahn is 130kph, been on it a few times so far in the car. But if you get in an accident at any speed higher than 130kph you can be at fault for accident that occurs, plus insurance may not cover you.
I have already been traveling as much as I can on the weekends. Made it to Plzen, Czech Republic this weekend, Nurnburg last weekend. Now just cant wait to make these trips on the scooter!
