Just adjusted the valves on my CR and while putting everything back together i wanted to make sure it would start first. So i connected the wire harness back up and have everything plugged in.

I went to start it and everything seemed to work (lights on, fuel pump primed) but the starter button wouldnt do anything (it to was plugged in). I disconnected the battery and realized that my alarm not being hooked up could be the problem. So i hooked my alarm to the battery (unit not plugged in, just harness hooked up) and turn the key... Theft Error.

Ive done research and alot of people say it could be from a dead battery. Well i charged the battery and it is the same thing. I also tried to get into the hidden menu on the 1125 with no luck. Disconnecting everything and reconnecting gives no luck.

I have checked the fuses and relays, all are good.

I am pretty upset given the fact that it seemed to be wanting to work and when i thought i found the problem this occurs. Any ideas guys? I dont want to bolt everything back up to take it to a dealer, this is defeat the purpose of doing work myself.

What is this "hidden menu" you mention?

Maybe try removing the ECU and plugging it back in? That's a wild-ass guess, but it would be something easy to try. Or, if you have a tuned ECU, you could try again with the OEM unit.

Good luck.

Got everything to work again. I think the bike was just being fussy about how it was angled? Though I thought i moved teh frame up and down and shook all the electronics.

Only other issue I am finding is that although everything works, pushing the starter button leads to nothing. The starter doesnt even try. [confused]

Got the bike fully back together and she decided to fire right up! What a relief.
