TIRE HELP! Pirelli Scorpion Sync

hi-

Hoping you can point me in the direction of a supplier of NEW Pirelli Scorpion SYNC (120/70/17) - this is the OEM tire for the xb12sTT.

Pirelli has discontinued the tire and everyone on the web seems to be out of them.

I NEED A FRONT TIRE. -thanks. wes

If Perelli has discontinued them... you might need to start looking for a new brand. most distributors will not carry them anymore. If you are looking for a tire that is comparable, check out the Michellin Power Pilot...

If perelli stopped making them that means that most of your suppliers will stop carrying them. I'd suggest getting something different. Any tire that size will work.

Agree with agfish. I ran Diablos hard for a couple of years and wasnt that impressed. Switched to Power Pilots and love them . Get better feel and much better stick in high speed cornering. Liked them so much i pulled my Metzelers off of my BMW K1200RS and tossed them on her.

i went from Scorpions to AngelST's. like them alot. Scorpions were great on gravel roads but never quite as sure footed in hard cornering(on pavement) as i like.

+1 on Buelly. Same here, the Angel STs give a much better feel than the Scorpion Syncs. They also wear MUCH better

Update: buellparts and their affiliation with an IN-based HD dealer got me the tire. BLoody expensive at $200 incl shipping PLUS local $25 mount fee.

however, I really like the scorpion AND just bought a new rear over the winter, so i wanted a matching set.

as to the angel's etc. if you are riding fire roads and trails as I do - ain't no way an angel gonna work!

i have a TT and I like to use the full functionality of the ability to ride off road AND still slay most sportbikes in the twisties...TT is the most underrated bike in the (former) buell lineup.

i dunno i still believe theuly X is the most all around capable buell. but the TT is kinda a miny ULY so i dig them. I bet a metzler would be good for ur next tires. Talked to a guy with a 850? BMW and rides in montana on and off road and loves em. Glad u found ur tire bro[up]
