hello again all, I just got my ecm spy and the cord to work with, so I reset my tps, in the directions it says to turn it up to %5.2- 5.5 so I did nd then started it up. then adjusted it again to get the rmps to1050-1150. went out for a test ride and everything was ok in the lower rpms and crusing. then I started getting the rpms up closer to redline and when I stopped at a light, my rpms were steady at 2k, on several occasions, n the same ride. a few times when I barely and slowly hit the throttle, the engine backfired. not sure what happened, but my 03 xb9r has been backfiring fairly often. any ideas or help to fix? thanks - vince

Reset again. Make sure you back the screw out enough and follow all procedures again on the reset

and when I stopped at a light, my rpms were steady at 2k, on several occasions
decrease spark advance at low tps and rpms just above idle

should the idle rpm be around 1100 when the tps % is between 5.2 and 5.5? or should it idle around 1100, after I tune it to be there? because I have it idling around 1000 and the tps % is at 6.7
