I just adjusted the clutch on my XB12R per instruction from this forum. However when I removed the inspection plate fluid began to drizzle out. Quite a bit actually. How do I replace the fluid and check for the proper amount?

It's over filled if it comes out of the clutch inspection plate. Make sure the bike is level when you open that and it should be just touching the bottom gears of the bottom gear that you can see. Not a Buell but it's pretty much the same as what this pic illustrates. You can look at the bottom of this through the inspection plate and see this. I usually fill from the primary chain inspection plate so I can look there while I fill. If you drain the fluid it should take a quart to fill it back up.

what vance said. betting you removed derby cover when your bolt was on the sidestand...correct?
