Triple clamp

Ok so I'm getting ready to pull my triple clamp off to have it powder coated anything special I need to do when disassembling? Removing the triple clamp wont affect the steering head correct? Also anyone know how the ignition switch comes out?

it's a security t-45 or some thing

and make sure to tape off the clamp surfaces when it gets powdered

be sure & make points of reference, marks aound the head for placement, use grease when installing.
