All,

Just replaced the Reg./Rect. on my bike. Everything seems to be working fine EXCEPT, I keep getting a trouble code #21 "ACM stuck open" and below that "ACM short to ground". I know this is the exhaust valve. My XB12r has the full Micron exhaust system and doesn't have an exhaust valve. Working in EcmDroid, I have unchecked the box for "enable exhaust valve", applied changes, cleared the codes and restarted. I seem to keep getting the codes. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Any info would be appreciated.

Do you have the actuator and wiring removed? If not, try that.

Sorry, yes, I think so. I did not do it, but the Micron system has been installed for a while. I have never seen this issue before. There are some open relays under the seat that I presumed were for the exhaust valve.

I think installing the R/R has caused the bike to reset the computer someplace. Now it is looking for the valve. I tried unchecking the option in ECMDriod, but I noticed when I hit "apply changes" after unchecking the exhaust valve operation, I get an alert box that says "Cannot write EEProm by Config." Presumably another setting, but I do not see it now.

I did see there is an option for error mask for "exhaust valve actuator". Maybe I will try that one when I get home from work.

AH HA! I know your problem now. In the preferences in ECMDroid, you need to check the "Enable EEPROM Burning" Then check the "Optimized Burning" box too. Then go back and turn off the exhaust valve

Awesome, that sounds like the fix! Thanks. Will give it a try and let you know. EcmDroid is a fantastic tool.

Yessir! That fixed it. For anyone else who runs into this issue, the option to set "Enable EEPROM Burning" is in the app preferences, and not an option in the app menu itself. Because if this, it took me a while to find it. On my Galaxy, it is the little menu looking beside the home button at the bottom of the screen. This takes you to the app preferences, and you will see an option for "EEPROM".

Thanks AZmidget91!

Just curious. Is your firmware version either a BUEID or BUEZD?

Cooter,

I am not sure how to tell. Would this be in EcmDroid? All I see is a "v0.96", and nothing about firmware.

If you tell me where to look, I will try to find it for you though.

When you connector to ECMDroid, it says your ECM ID, aka firmware.

Just turned mine on for the first time last night, same thing. This is what came up in a Google search. Should have known with all the new ECMdroid threads as of late. Gotta love it.

Thanks AZ
