I forgot to mention if you are into a bit faster riding the Bell Star out performs the others at high speeds in which you get the head wobbles. Most of my helmets get a bit wobbly at 100mph the Star is solid even at 120mph so that is something to take into consideration. As for the noise there are always ear plugs.

The helmet comes with a small lips that sticks on the top rear of the helmet and it does just what it is suppose to at high speeds.

I vote the start to I have the same lid as welderjosh and I love it they do run a little big I am usually a medium but it was to big and ended up getting a small..

Sold me. My current Lid is a Bell apex, no real complaints about anything other than the highspeed wobbles. Yes I am buying the star on close out. I actually want to order that same one you have but it's on back order and I don't wanna risk it not being delivered before my trip. My wife has the exo 700 so I'm covered on that too. My suspicions on icon being all form over functions seems to often be proven correct. Thakns guys for all your help!

I've got an Icon Airframe and a Scorpion EXO 1000. For my head shape, the Icon fit is perfect. It is also lighter weight and has better ventilation than the Scorpion. I don't have any personal experience with Bell helmets, but my buddy has one, and just comparing it to mine, the inner liner material and the vents are not as nice as the Icon or the Sorpion; the Bell feels a little cheaper. My advice is to buy which ever one is most comfortable. They are all good helmets.

lol all good. great minds think a like[up] did you get the red? I'm kinda thinking of getting the black. I'm on the fence. my bike and gear and all black and red, but i wanna get a second bike and it'll probably be a different color. so the black would be able to blend better.

if it will make you feel better i can wear my wife's scorpion that day

how did the star fit you? what size did you order? I have a bell apex in large that fits good but got a little loose after a year. should i get the large in the star as well?

I havent received my helmet yet but I ordered a medium. I usually wear a large in most other brands but ive read about the star running a size smaller than you regularly wear I had my head measured and im a low large so hopefully it fits or else I will exchange it for the correct one.

what was your head measurement? I too am on the lower end of large, i did read that the stars med andlarge have the same shell so adjusting the size is as easy as changing the pads

I bought a medium in the Star and I think they run true to size. I wear a medium in my Icon and Scorpion also. My head measures 22 1/4 inches.

I was measured at 59cm I'm hoping I don't have to do anything but wear it when I get it, I am focused on getting my motorcycle back together and gathering the last few parts needed to make it rideable.

I got my star today and it fit perfect snug but not uncomfortable so getting a medium was perfect.

Well I was waiting for my pay to hit the bank before i sprung for the Red Bell Star Contra. . . And I wish i hadn't [mad] I apologize for not sharing this earlier but i found them on clearance for 199 and was hoping to snag one before they were gone. . .I missed out and they sold out of my size.

I did find an alternative though and ordered it immediately!

one of mine is the icon airframe, very nice tight fit, quiet and light, ive always been curious about bell, they look totally dope, just a little expensive for me. but i have a couple of icon helmets and a jacket and they are top notch quality and fit, hope this helps, good luck
