Hey everyone I am at a loss with my 08 XB12s. My turn signals have just stopped working. There is no power getting to the flasher module to send the signal back to the switch. I have torn this this thing apart wondering what could be the issue. I have checked all the connections to the headlights and to the switch. They are all good. I am not sure if there is a frayed wire somewhere further down the bike. I have checked the fuses as well. I have checked the ground for the turn signals as well. Everything is good according to the multi meter. What I have determined is that there is a break somewhere but it isnt visible from taking the front pieces off. Please let me know what if anyone has a resolve to this issue or has fixed this before. Thanks for your help ohh and I hate electrical work ha.

Do the rear signals work? I would assume not. Are you getting power to the fuse box? Are you getting power to your handle bar switch? Probably a corroded connection there.

when signals "just stop working" as you described....it actually lessens the amount of possible culprits. the "suddenness" of it all narrows it down to just a few items. also see schematic for correct fuse info.
1-check each bulb with an ohm-meter. don't rely on a visual check. ohm each to be sure. simply pin the outer shell and the bottom center contact and should have 0 ohms.
2-go to front of bike....kneel down....locate the 4 wire ground cluster. on a 2008 i have seen the cluster attached to the triple clamp pinch bolt as well as a torx attachment to the steering neck. find the cluster....remove same...thoroughly inspect and clean....check connectors....reattach....then test. this ground cluster can cause an abundance of electrical problems associated with switchgear and lighting.
3-carefully check the female ends of your accessory fuse in the fuse block.
4-if performing the above steps doesn't resolve this then do the following: flyscreen removed....key to on.....red run switch to off....turn signal switch to left on or right on.....doesn't matter which direction you choose....now start the wire wiggle test. move any and all wiring bundles starting at the ignition switch and working your way aft. proceed methodically. when the signals flash you've found the area of fault. 683749.jpg

Try this... pull the flyscreen and make sure the flasher is still bolted to its mounting point, and if it is, make sure it is grounded well. When I pulled apart my front end for powder coat, I realized that my turn signals stopped working as well. I still hadn't mounted the flasher relay, but as it turns out, the flasher grounds through the metal mounting tab.

I will definitely give your options a go. I have checked the fuses with an ohm meter everything checks out there. I have also checked the grounds I have pulled the entire wire harness apart so i can check the wires for breaks or possible wear. On the Buells is there a common break in wires coming out of the wind screen? it seems there could be a multitude of problems due to the handle bars moving something could get caught. So let my journey begin with wires thanks for everyone's help. This has been a gigantic pain. Also i have checked the connections in the handle bars everything works and is getting power except the turn signals are not working. It has to be a short with a wire going the flasher or the turn signals. Lets hope i can get this fixed.

Also where is a good link i can the schematics for my 2008 Buell XB12S? Thanks again!!
