You're both know nothing about exhaust. If the muffler was designed to have packing, it needs it. Also as far as I know the engine will skip the spark, it cannot run safely with 1 cylinder.

You are correct bajabomber won't argue that, the companies designed it the way they did for a reason

You are correct Baja skips the spark witch still is a huge loss of power. They called it skipspark mode or something like that.

See now you agree with me!?! Im only an ass-hole to those who prove to be dumb ass'
I emailed EBR and they said the cylinders have no program to shut down a cyliner/retard it. That would be so unsafe!!

rrh481 are you seriously making threats over the internet? :p You are so tough!!!! I would be scared to live close to you and your fast Buell. hahaha You think i haven't contributed, wow rrh481 you have done nothing but piss people off here.

Sorry to thread jack Grebesbakery, My brother has a Jardine and he thought he could go without repacking his but once he did repack it, he gained bit more torque back. Like Bajabomber said: If it was designed to have packing, than its probably best that you repack it. Helps exhaust vibration too.....

Not sure how V&H does it but the repack kit that I got for my Buell pro can came with the packing wraped around a cardboard tube ( looked like a roll of paper towels). All i had to do was pull the end of the can off and slide the cardboard tube over the baffle hold the packing and pull the cardboard tube out leaving the packing behind and put the end back on the can. My problem was when I pulled the end of the can off most of my baffle was gone. So I put a D&D on it.

Thanks guys, called up VH today and they told me that pipe did come with packing. He said pull the baffle out and wrap it around as many times as you can and put it back in........

Depends on the kind of packing. If you go with fnd packing do that otherwise you can buy packing that looks like fish net that you can just stuff inside the muffler with the baffle in it.

One thing you want to be sure is that you don't pack the packing in too tight.

You can pick up fiberglass packing from any bike shop pretty much.
