What bike do you chose and why?
1) 2010 XB12scg 3.1Kmi
2) 2010 XB12R 2.3Kmi
3) 2008 Ducati 848 3.8Kmi

:)

Depends. That Duc is one sweet bike--good power, superb handling, and drop dead gorgeous. If I was in my 20's, Duc for sure; ridiculous service pricing notwithstanding. At 40, I'm more partial to the XBS. Maybe the R is a good compromise?

I'd be more leaning towards the Duc. I've always been a sucker for 'em. Plan on having an 1198 in the future.

I would jump on that scg, just got one and couldn't
be any happier. My friend has a Duc. Superbly nice but spends most of its time a the shop, not to mention the outrageous bills.
Buell its a super inexpensive bike and easy to work on your own.
Find your medium and choose.
BTW: even my friend has said before" if I only knew about buell" drooling while staring at my bike.....
Peas!

I have a 2010 XB12R. I would have much rather gotten an XB12S, but I couldn't pass up the deal I got my bike for and it only had 50 miles. So thats why I threw a Lightning tail on mine.

I say go for the SSSSSS!!!!

Are you short? If so SCG.
I just put the low suspension on my XB and love it.

Duc, if you like that leaned over and haul ass everywhere attitude.

Personally, hands down I would go with the SCG.
You just have to figure out what you like best.

I like being unique. I like bikes that look different. So that rules out choices 2 and 3

I will never buy a Ducati supersport. Ever. Uncomfortable, overpriced, two wheeled ovens between your legs. I'll take the lightning.

X2 SCG. If it was between the Duc and the 12R, Duc wins but I would take the SCG over those two. Now if you throw an 1125 in there then it wins hands down.

Having rode the 848, S and R, I have to say my preference is the R. I found the 848 lacking torque until about 7K RPM. It comes on HARD at that point, but if you are looking for power off-the-line, Buell with no question. If you plan on running high RPMs all the time, then go Duc. I found the Duc fairly comfortable (I'm 5'10, 200#), probably more so than the R. It is definitely a tradeoff. For twisties, Buell 100%
