Warm weather gear

Im sitting here thinking about riding my bike...winter sucks by the way.[down]

Anyway, when Im wearing all my gear in the heat. Im dying like crazy.

Are anyone of you using something to keep you cool during the summer days??

Where do people stand on Motocross armor under a t-shirt or something for warm weather riding?

Mac I wore this over a T. would wear it over a wifebeater too. It was really comfy.

I used this, this past summer. It was ok but on the really hot days, it felt like it was sticking to me.

I picked this up on ebay for next summer. I'm a little hesitant about not having something covering my arms though.

Any armored mesh jacket of good quality will be fine, and a cotton T-shirt is best in summer, since it holds the sweat and will therefore cool you better as it evaporates (the opposite of winter, when you want a t shirt that will wick away moisture from your body so you aren't cooled by evaporation.

The trick is to keep moving - not to stop in traffic

This is the jacket I have...

It keeps me somewhat cool, but I still sweat alot when riding in the summer months. Has anyone tryed out say Under Armour heat gear?? Or anything like that

I wear a leather Alpinestars jacket and BDU's with CE protectors in the knees. I am just getting a perforated suit for this summer.

I wear one of these... it has a liner that makes it a decent cooler weather jacket too. (though it ain't doing anything for me when it's 12 degrees outside.. !
AlpineStars T-Stunt 2 jacket. I think it's been discontinued and replaced by a different "Style" pattern... but it's a good jacket with nice airflow and good protection where it counts.

Yeah I wear jeans over it. Those things are HARD to get off when you're all sweaty! I'll only wear them over a 98 degrees. Otherwise I'll wear my track pants.

As for the upper, I'll wear a leather jacket 98 degrees and lower. But any higher, I have to put on the mesh. I think the mesh will only withstand half of the sliding distance of leather. But sometimes it's just too hot.

i forget where i saw it, but someone linked a LONG time ago about crash reports on mesh vs leather.. and basically mesh was ridiculously pathetic in abrasion resistance compared to leather... not nearly half.. but its still better than a tshirt n flipflops folks!

I did a track day at California Speedway in my leathers and it was around 100-102. Dry, but HOT AS HELL. Worth it? oh yes. I currently ride with a two piece Cortech/Olympia combo that has a removeable insulated layer. Great for 45deg mornings with 80deg afternoons. Zip-unzip-done.
