Warranty Problems Help!

So a guy trades his bike in for a car,The dealer takes it to action another car dealer buys it and then i buy it.Hope everyone is keeping up.Now im having problems trying to transfer warranty.Any help?Bike still has 1yr left on it.I do have owners number dont know he can help or not?

Oh ****, that is a clusterfuck! Really, I don't see why if matters who the hell has it, the warranty is the same to me. It's stupid if they won't honor the warranty. Have you talked to the Harley Dealer to see what they say? I haven't had warranty work done but they have never asked for proof of ownership

2yr warranty or extended 2yr should go off the vin and original sale date.extended might not be transferable.

Went to dealer to fill out paper work and dick weed told me no because bike went threw a dealer and not the or.owner so i left and want to get some info from you guys and try another dealer.

It should be just the same as how other companies do warranty work, goes by vin and dop

do you mean a harley dealer if so good luck with that!!

Just give Buell Customer Service at Harley-Davidson: the numbers are (414) 343-8400 and also (414) 343-4056, I bet they can get a Buell/HD warranty transfered into your name , or atleast tell you or the HD dealer how to do it !


Or do you mean a non harley dealer (i.e. a car dealership)dealer warranty???

Went today to another Harley Dealer they were very helpful. I'm crossing my fingers,Still dont under stand why the first ******** wouldnt work with me!

Yep What goes around comes around. Some dealers just don't want those great bikes around. Some dealers are OK. Had a guy at the monthly bike nite run his mouth at me and 3 others. I'm 6ft 196 lbs.Not any fat on this Marine. AND I gladly will Stomp his ass. I didn't serve this Country over 26 years to be insulted by a Pr#*k. Well I better keep it clean word wise. This is a Forum after all. Hadn't been for an Officer that I know Personally calming me down that was working at the place. Lets see how he is next time. Yeah Maybe I'm a Jarhead/but if I'm standing w/you on an issue it's solid.[cool]
