What did you do for your Buell today?

Ah! I understand now. It sounds like it could be the isolator, if it is nothing else. You would not necessarily feel anything that serious with a wheel bearing unless it is catastrophic (but you wouldn't be able to ride it either). How are your front forks? If they leak and have been leaking for some time, they will need a rebuild, if not it could be a number of loose or misaligned things.

Spent the day at an advanced riding school. After a very, very long winter it was the perfect way to shake off the cobwebs. I'm really hoping my wife and I each got bumped up another level. She really kicked ass today!

Last night we changed the oil in both of our bikes, and flushed the brakes on wifey-poo's SV. Now I need to flush mine. Picking up a new trailer tomorrow, so I'll have plenty of work to do next weekend rigging it up with tie down anchors and chocks and such.

Finally rode it! I've had it for a week, after waiting 4 weeks to pick it up. Spent an hour today riding around aimlessly, and I'm in love. Definitely made a great choice with this one.

Bought a back up set of plastics, center tail section, and all the parts needed to build up the rear foot pegs / bracket. Guess I'll do without the stock handle bars, low rear suspension and forks, which would complete all the parts to return my bike to stock, if and when that time comes.

Two new NGK DCPR9EIX Iridium IX spark plugs that everyone raves about. Figured I would give them a try. Changing them was a breeze. The stock plugs still looked great (I like the little mushroom thingy on the insulator tip)

Ok guys. What did i do today..
Dropped my f*ucking key in to the gas tank while fueling. Great.
Or at least im pretty sure about that, 'cause i dropped my key somewhere and i didnt find it anywhere around the bike. So i guess the only possible place is at bottom of the tank.
Well i hope it doest do any harm there until i have time to pull off the pump.

I know I shouldn't laugh but I did ... if you go to a Harbor Freight they have a magnet they sell on the end of a long spring handle (about 2 feet or so in length) ... fish that around in there and it should pick it right up if it's in there since they key is magnetic (I believe) ... if not, I have a couple of key blanks if you need one ...

I just put some Diesel Moto subframe spacers on my R/S ...

Changed out the rashed up swingarm for a less rashed up swingarm I got from a firesale on some Buell parts ... which also included an oil change ...

New wheel bearings ... front and rear ...

DIY cheese grater delete ...

New 1" drop pegs installed ...

New plugs (DCPR9E ... the regular copper core ones)

New oil lines to the swingarm and the cooler ...

New updated V/R plug ...

Sanded off the lip of the rear sprocket and the idler sprocket ... looks nice

Speed bleeders for the front and rear ...

That about covers it for this round of upgrades/maintenance ... :)
ALSO !! ... Jay Swift ... I want to know what kind of paint that was man ... those bark busters turned out GREAT !!! [up]

Just changed the oil, filter for this summer and reinstalled my belly pan (1125cr). Both of these needing to be done kept me from riding as much. Now I am happy it has not sold. Oil change on the 1125 is a pain compared to the xb... looks like it should have from factory with belly pan.

Put a new gauge face on yesterday when I got back ... Courtesy of XBdashboards on this page ... [up]
