Showed her off to my friends, they didn't believe it was a 1200 until I fired her up... Then gave her some fresh 93 and a hour of cleaning until it started raining on me mid-day :/

I gave it a bath, a coat of Novus, and then put on some header wrap.

In the middle of doing "half" of the Scg suspension swap on my XB12R: running lower shock only So today I slid the forks to drop the front 3/4". Really happy with it. Tomorrow I plan on installing the new Scg shock. Will update once that is done (yes, with pics!)

So I completed the lowering today. Installed the new Scg shock. As mentioned above, yesterday slid the forks the recommended 3/4". I am 5'10" with a 30" inseam. Now with the bike lowered I can put both heels flat on the ground (barely). But the main reason we wanted to do this is so my girl friend can ride the bike. So my girl friend got on it and she can place both feet on the ground (not flat, but with good stability). I think we are good to go, but I may go with the Lowering Kit from Street Fighters, Inc.:

And here is how the bike looks now:

Installed seat quick release kit from Loki. $15 shipped. I did shorten them just a tad to make them fit my bike just like I wanted, using a Dremel and cutoff wheel.

Got her all back together less the vss. (mis routed the new one and burnt the wire against the header...$90 mistake later, not doing that again)
And put the EBR race ECM for the race exhaust in, it made a world of difference in the tone of the bike and the power is amazing, just cruising its barily noticeable but 6,000-10,800 rpm it's like a v-tech motor was placed in my Buell with the noticable power gain in that rpm range. I absolutely love it and appreciate my bike a million times more since I was able to take we apart and do the gaskets headers and the ECM all essentially "blind" and have everything work like it did before I began to work on her.

The new pegs I got on eBay from Grand Rapids Harley came in the mail today so I swapped out the passenger peg I had been using. Ride is much more comfortable when both pegs have the same drop to them. Riding with with the sprained wrist is a little uncomfortable tho.

Today i picked up my "SS" swingarm and rear sets from the sandblasters. i then put a nice new coat of silver on them

i also bought another wrecked buell today so there will be another project coming up.

I logged my 2500th mile on my lighting since I bought it in february, which is 2 1/2 times more miles the previous owner put on it in the year he owned it. Actually if you include the miles I put on the bike at the MSF course it was the 2507th mile I've put on any street bike. Also broke triple digits on the speedo for the first time today.

I put a fresh coat of VHT "Flame Proof" header paint on the Hawk Muffler that I bought from NwRider, after he installed his new exhaust system. I should have some new bushings delivered from ASB on Tuesday, then I will mount it on my S3.

Thank you, NwRider, I can't wait to hear it.

Just stared at it today, we'll be leaving for Germany on Tuesday so I've got plenty of things left to do before then.

I think you will like it williegoat. [up]

I got some more work done on my seat cowl. Hopefully start laying some fiberglass tonight.
