2003 XB9R. 10K miles on it.
I am not the original owner but the bike was in mint condition when the tranny locked up on the previous owner. He parked it. I bought it.
Anyway, motor is apart. I am not interested in boring it out. I just want to fix the tranny issue and put it back together. What do I need?
The service manual states that many bolts must be tossed and new bolts installed. For instance, the stator bolts. I will need all new gaskets but what about the various seals or the piston rings?
I want to do this motor right the first time and hopefully the only time.

well, if you want to do it only one time and right, change EVERYTHING. usually ends up being a safe bet.
