what helmet to buy..bell star or hjc is-max?

I did, are you shure the med and large are the same except for tye cheek pads? if so it might be cheaper to order a set of pads then to ship it around and wait.

I have read that the shell is the same size there was a picture from bell that showed the dimensions of each helmet and shell sizes, let me see if I can find the pic for you.

thanks thats interesting,I wonder why bell sizes are different from others, I went to try on 4 other brands today and all the larges were my size..but they did not have a bell in med to try on.
Ill wait to see what xl chese says,if he can get me just the pads cheap enough that would be great so I can start using it..its killing me sitting there.

Did you try the extra set of pads that came with the helmet. They come with the soft pads in the helmet or atleast mine did the firm pads that are in a bag in the box are a little tighter.

got excited and re opened the box annd no extra pads,surprised they gave me a very cool helmet bag,a rear spoiler thing,even oil..but no pads. still waithing the hear if I can buy pads or exchange it.

That sucks I thought they all came with a extra set of pads. I got mine on clearance it had the pads, helmet track strip, and bag.

It does suck. i e mailed pink gorella today about exchanging the helmet or just the cheek pads,they got back to me fast and Im just waiting for them to check on it.
this has gone against my rules to never buy something online that I will wear,super great deal but I wish I had walked in to a store and rode away with a helmet.

Well I hope you get it worked out! I had a lg KBC before, I measured my head this time because I was ordering on line and I was a small lg in Bell sizes so I got a MD and it worked out the helmet fits perfectly snug.

got it straightened out. wes at pink gorella sent me out a set of med cheek pads and med top pad.
it fits good now so I finley got to try it out..its a great helmet,light,easy to use, the wind restance is the best part, my only copmlaint is a bit too much wind noise but it looks so cool with the auto tint sheild who cares.

Awesome!! I wear ear plugs so no wind noise for me.

Wind noise is the cause of hearing loss article.

I wear ear plugs for this reason, not because of exhaust noise.
