What I have been working on

Glade - I used the SCG swap to lowered the bike. Its posted here in the forum, if you want more info on it.

GW - There's no interference with the rotation, but did have to slice off the bracket for the stock mirror.

My next mod/change will be cutting top end of the fairing so that the bike has more of the aggressive look.

Here's the update on the front end. The welds on the casted aluminum bracket was not pretty but it did the job. The next mods on my list are replacing the turn signal, levers, and adding a GPS.

When you have the front loaded down does anything touch?

I had my forks slipped and the rear of the front fender would hit the front motor mount. I now have Scg forks but don't have the fairing dropped.

You can see here how low it came just heavy on the brake. Actually snapped my CF fender just before this picture thus the reason for no fender.

Definitely cool and creative man! If I had patience I would do this to my bike to. Would you do this to my bike if I paid you? Were bout are you from?

xlow - I have 2 and 3/4 inch of clearance from the fender the front fairing and 3 inch clearance from the fender to the mount. If the Scg forks could be compressed beyond the clearance that I have, I would be very surprise. The side photo will show you my point. Do you have a clear pic of your bike? What tail end do you have on your bike? It looks good.

Jobe - I don't think that I can put a price on what I did to the bike and the amount of time on the bike. But then again, money talks. How much are you willing to pay to get this kind of work done? Rochester, NY

I have the Scg tail w/ Diesel Moto tail lift, also an Ss swing arm.

Nice bike xlow! I can see why your fender could hit the motor mount with heavy load. Does the paint hold pretty well on fairing? I want to get new paint for the fairings, but I'm afraid it will chip or peel easily.

Ryder...They make special paint for plastics that wont chip or crack. It can be found at any professional body paint store. They also make it in a "do it yourself" can style. However, I recommended leaving it to the professionals.

I would pay good money to lower my bike like you did Ryder. I live in Wisconsin and wouldn't be looking to do this mod till next year. Im working on the mechanics of my 2003 xb9r right now. (exhaust e.t.c) I will be in contact with you for sure. Plus I have never been to New York. That would b cool.

Extreme....love the scg mod. How much time and $$$ do you have invested? I have considered going that route to. I just need my bike to be 1-2inches lower. I NEED IT NOW!!! LOL!

Modding in Milwaukee :p
