my bike is running extremely crappy!! i mean NO throttle response, no get up and go until i get up to the higher RPM's, sputters and backfires at stop lights when I want to go, my tank plastics are cracked in the front left bolt hole, and the rear tire keeps going flat and its a brand new bike? WTF!!!

I dont run it just to rev it. if I start it up I am going for a ride fyi.
 
what kind of bike> how long have you had the problem...details details. warranty??

looks like it's running rich as hell.
 
303xb its an xb12scg, had the problem since I have had it, it has 112 miles on it. and I called the dealer today and they came to my house and picked up the bike. It seriously looks like its running WAY too rich. i have taken spark plugs off of 10 year old lawnmowers that looked better that these.
 
Might just need a reset, are they going to replace the airbox cover? That shouldnt break if you are using a shoulder bolt, and I assume you havent changed them since the bike is brand new..........
 
I have done a reset then took it out,but still ran like sh**. I havent done a thing to the cover, I fount it that way when I was going to take it off to change the plugs.
 
Mine was doing the same thing when I bought it.

Had the dealer pick it up, turned out to be some bad seals in the engine. Thank god for warranty.
 
The translucents come with rubber mounts and an extra insert (maybe what extreme is talking about).

Buy ecmspy and play around with it If harle can't help.

That's a bummer man bikes to new for that bull shit!
 
mines an 06 w 13k on it, does similar at stop light when i get ready to go, coughs and sputters unless i keep the rpms up a little. about to change to iridium plugs in the next day or two. also some of you have recommended tps reset, but it seems the sequence is for 08 and newer, is there a reset for my 06?
 
Mines an 08 XB12R & Ecm Spy worked on it. Now i did all this a few months before Opti Inside stopped the research on the Ecm Spy Project over 2yrs ago! Had to make a volt/chip TTL 5v/ rs232 level chip, directions to build right on the site. parts some from Radio shack/some from FTDI . I bought a USB cable & cut off one end & made a cord for it . Buell Plug parts At dealer. FTDI (now has) a built in chip USB cable for this application. Bought mine about 11mths ago. Last year I bought for the shop the Direct Link Race Package for HD and Buell. If i didn't have a shop i would have never bought it. VERY EXPENSIVE ! But works great. Still though was using Ecm Spy on the older Buells in 2006. What a learning experience that was. They were always improving The Work that went into Spy over the years, I can't thank them enough. There is a Thread here for Tuning 08+ I hope its still on this Forum . :D
 
ok i had the same problem somewhat. what saved me was i went on ecmspy and set a minimum of 100 to my afv and a max of 110. from the looks of it shes leaning herself out. give it a try it saved my ass.
 
BTW-Don't know if Octopus/ OR Stevenc150,is still doing the tuning sessions He may be using Tuner pro now. Not sure? Mega Log Viewer has stuff also. I think Octo.,just bought a KTM waiting for picts. Sold his Buell I heard. Those plugs are way rich, hope bike is covered. Possible 02 sens/or TPS deal. Intake seals will do that as well. Hope its an easy fix.
 
the Crack air box is becuase of your bike back firing. . thye all pop from the Exhaust (not bad) but for the carb (BAD0 your timing can be off.
