possibly looking to sell my 2007 firebolt XB9R to upgrade to the XB12R... i think its about that time haha. it has about 20,500 miles and has been down at low speed but everything was fixed with OEM parts. theres a tiny scratch on the swing arm thats all thats left but insurance didnt total it so IT IS A CLEAN pink... i also have a jardine exhaust on her with maybe 5000 miles on it maybe less but i have all the original parts as well like the stock exhaust, mirrors, license plate bracket etc. if i do decide to sell it what should i put it up for and what should be the lowest i take??

It totally depends on the market in your area. $3500 - $5500 would probably be fair.

IMHO, there really is no reason for you to upgrade to the the XB12 if your XB9 is running fine. I've owned Buells with both engines and they are slightly different but no less awesome in their own right.

A little, but IMHO, not enough to me to replace one for another.

XB12R Stock
103HP 84ft-lb
Dry Weight 395lbs

XB9R Stock
92HP 70ft-lb
Dry Weight 385lbs

The way the engine's rev and how you feel the power are different. The 12s are definitely a little more grunty, but the 9s rev really nice and higher.

For me, it's more about the year. I think the 2006 and later models have a much better clutch and transmission. Up to 2005, the clutch and transmission feel like a sportster. 2006 and above, it's more like a japanese super bike and very smooth.

Doesn't the xb12 have more power? More top end??

It's negligible... my buddies 9S can pull along with my 12STT. When I ride his bike I don't feel like its lacking at all, the shorter gearing on the 9 helps but I haven't driven it on the highway. Both bikes are relatively slow compared to the modern stuff anyway.

Ok ok thanks for he info guys! Now what are your guys' thoughts on EBR's and their new 1190rx??? I want a newer bike with less miles than what I have now and frankly I want to go a bit faster Than my 07 xb9...

Slow?

Maybe if you want to break 125MPH on the street, but in other situations like turns or acceleration off the line, I've never noticed it.

The 1190RX is the street model right? And the RS is the "race track" model? Cuz one is like $40,000 and the other is like $18,000. I think. I don't have 40,000 just chillin for a bike haha I wish.

What do you think top speed is on the 1190RX? Honestly I want to stay with buell or EBR but I'm tired of getting blown outta the water when some ********* pulls up on some jap bike... Lol

Who cares about some douche bag? 100 MPH is as fast as I care to go on the street and even that is squirrely. If someone wants to go faster, good for them, they win.

I always ride under restrictions so drivers constantly signaling me and bikers pass me in my lane, I think they hate me.

The last time I got dusted by some fool on a repli-racer it just so happened we were going the same way. That way got a little curvy and the douche disappeared in my mirrors.
Any ******* can go fast in a straight line.
To me, the Buell represents what motorcycling is all about. Laying a bike over through some curves.
