I recently turned 35 last month. Ahh..my how quickly time passes by. My first bike was a brand spanking new 2004 CBR f4i, I didnt even have a license, nor did I knew how to ride a bike(motorycle), so I had the dealer ride it home for me. After having crashed it a couple of times, I sold it. I took a break from riding for about 4 years. Last year being being alittle more older and wiser, I opted for a used and more manageable bike,a 04' Suzuki GS500F. Practice with that bike for a few months then bought the 03' Xb9s. Thanks to all the knowledge and help from everyone on this forum, I have been able to transform my bike into my own.

I'm 50. Started motorcycles with clutches in 1970,first real bike was A Hodaka SUPER RAT, went through A handful of TMs RMs and CRs before A CanAm 400 tried to kill me in 83. I decided to hop up and restore 70-72 Oldsmobile W-30s for about 10 years. Then I blew-up big block Mopars for another 10. Anyway now I have A 06 FXSTI,06 XB12R and A 03 CRF 230.

I'm 29 own a '03 Lightning XB9S bought myself back in January. First season on 2 wheels. Never ridden any other bikes before but I don't even want to :D

Hello all. I am 45 and just got my black XB9S Lightening (2004). I started riding 3 years ago. I won a Vino Scooter at a benefit. $100 (2 tickets). Soon I needed more. Next bike Suzuki GS500F.. learned on that one... than bought a Kawasaki 750. That was a little scary. Next - Harley 883 sportster. Too boring sold that one after almost a year. So now... the XB9S. I LOVE IT. FINALLY a bike snaps to my needs. :) No midlife C here... just a happy granny who's kids are all grown up! Happy and safe riding all. :)

I am 36 now, bought my 06 XB12Ss in late 06, last bike was GSX-R 750, bought when I was 21, had Dirt Bikes before that, and also was riding a 78 honda cb750k, the only thing I knew was riding, then my ex made me sell the bikes. My current wife said sure you can get one. yippeee

I'm 22 Years old, 5'7 and i have a XB12STT
the bike is way too high for me. i can barely tip toe on the bike thus making it hard to maneuver at slow speeds. This is my 2nd bike though, i had a Suzuki GS500 before.
i have the urban solo assault seat. im planning to take 2 inches of foam out from that and also lower the suspension so i can put both feet on the ground.

do you guys have any suggestions of what i can do to make the bike lower?
