Ok I need to comment. I came from stunting and I am very good and experienced here so take heed. These are not the bikes you should be learning on... And the street isn't the place either. Not many ever listen but learn on something else, dirt bike are the best, 4 strokes and have fun in the dirt. Too many things can go wrong.
The right wheelie - quick snap of throttle and clutch and bike immediately jumps to balance point. Using the throttle clutch and rear brake you can keep it perfectly balance at whatever speed you want...
The wrong wheelie - twist the throttle hard and bounce the bike up blah blah blah. Remember even in first after you hit the gas your going 65 mph in 1st. First has so much engine brake that the second you let of the throttle the bike slams down (fork seals). This WILL Eventually make you crash, usually bad. I know people like power wheelies but they just aren't right. Also, the gearing is way wrong to wheelie.
No offense but I've seen some horrible crashes from the stunt days. You are riding a 1200cc motorcycle, it's no joke and it's not the right bike for the job... At least at your experience level.
Buy and old stunt bike, dirt bike, quad, xr50, etc. Learn there. If your near mass I'll show you some things. Ride safe
