When do you stop riding?

It hasn't been below 40 or so here yet. I'm like d_adams and cold temps and cold cold tires make me nervous. I'd love a ural gear up with 2wd for winter!!!

I love texas

Yup, but......

...
In Texas July & August are both typically unbearable. Still 85 today but Friday is supposed to be in the 60's. Can't wait.

^This. I can make it all summer but it does get a little unbearable. I ride atgatt too. My summer gear smells great!!
It has been nice in the mornings on the way to work.

But typically I ride 105*-35* rain or shine. We don't get snow here just black ice. So just above freezing.

Give me cold with the proper gear over heat any day!

I prefer heat over cold when riding... the only time I would say it was "too hot" was riding through the Salton Sea area in southern California. Even at ~80 mph, it was like I was in a sauna.

I live at 9000ft and 1/4 mile down a dirt road. I stop ridding when I can no longer get my bike to the highway, typically late Oct. - early Nov.

I DONT Currently living in alabama and loving it right now. in the high 40s and low 50s on my way to work and 70s-low 80s on my way home. cant ask for better.

I am in Pittsburgh and will be parking the Buell soon. No need to get stuck in the rain, snow, and cold on that thing. Thats why I built a supermoto :p

South Louisiana isn't bad. It's alright till around January. Our weather is screwy, I've been to Xmas in shorts a few times. Temp wise, I quit around 45-50. I just don't dig the cold too much

Year round here. If it is raining on one side I just go to the other side of the Island it'll normally be sunny and 75 there. I am starting to feel a bit like a hamster on a wheel though. Longest I can go in one direction is about 35 miles, then I'm going around. And there are no tracks.

moved from San Diego to a lake in Iowa in June..was great all summer if not a little hot. 70 yesterday- rode till late night when it got down to 40...down to 29 tonight..fixin to move to Austin in a few weeks though so I probably won't have to figure out just how cold I can handle..

Austin is such a great city.

I love visiting Texas, especially Austin. Anybody who has not been there needs to put aside preconceptions and go! You'll be very surprised.

Cant imagine riding around Texas in full leathers in August tho!
